    first run

well, after 8 years of not running i finally registered it and ran it on rt's 24 and 140 to "seat" the rings. the dart headed and blocked 555 realy pulled hard. 1st and second gears were useless with the 9 year old bfg drag radials. got it to hook in 3rd and it pulled right through the 7200 shift light and bounced off of the rev limiter @7600. there is an oil leak and a slight vibe on decell but not too bad. have to check the pinion angle, hook up the vac pump and change the oil.

I had a decell vibration like yours. (After major power upgrade) Thought it was caused by not balancing new drag radials . tore the driveshaft in 2 pieces at the big end of NED after 10 runs . Shaft was new but not strong enough. Upgraded to 1350 billet yokes & 3inch tube- no more vibration.

this thing realy vibrated before because of a p.o.s. driveshaft from south shore bearing. i lost that @ 130MPH on the highway. it has a denny's shaft in it now with the h.d. joints and that went away. it has a moser 9" housing from 10 years ago and i never checked the pinion angle.
